Award-Winning Composer Federico Chávez-Blanco´s music has been heard in renowned Film Festivals and on the air by millions of television viewers on networks such as NBC-Telemundo, PBS, Univision, Azteca América, Televisa, and Galavision.
His recent work includes the Score for "Deep Blue Breath” an animation/live action film by Tamika Lamison (starring Sean Astin from “The Lord of the Rings” and Miguel Sandoval from Medium), also finished Jesus Santillan’s short “Inglés”.PBS recently premiered "American Veteranos", feature documentary that examines the enduring legacy of the Vietnam War on three artists from South Texas, another film, "Dreamhealing" directed by Dora Peña, (starring award-winning Jesse Borrego from Dexter, 24) also premiered in 2010. Chavez-Blanco was awarded “Best Composer” at the 2008 West Hollywood International Film Festival for "Forgiveness", a WW II story written by Allan Knee (Finding Nederland) and Mariusz Kotowski.
His music has been presented in the film festival circuit worldwide through the films "Put it in a Book” (directed by Cannes award winner Rodrigo Garcia), "El Triunfo" by Jesus Santillan (Best Short film in 2006 East L.A. Chicano Film Festival), "Madame Marina" by Katrina Elias ("Best Latino Film" 2006 NYC Downtown Film Festival).
